Destroy Maviki without an operator: how the new Photon fighter drone works
The Ukrainian company «Defender Dinamix» has developed a line of “Photon” drones designed to destroy enemy drones in automatic mode.
The main targets of the UAV "Photon" — are Russian FPV drones such as Mavic, Matrice and Autel. Drones fire 12 caliber from titanium barrels. The military can use shot, buckshot or other charge depending on needs.
The new drones use Ukrainian-made aluminum frames from 7 to 11.2 inches. One to five barrels are placed on 10-inch drones. Maximum placement — six barrels. Six barrels — is six shots. The weight of one barrel in a charged state is 500 grams. That is, how much a drone can lift – can make a suspension. The drone can fire simultaneously from all barrels or alternately.
The operator of the "Photon" UAV can fire manually, but the developers bet on autonomous operation. The claimed affected area is between 0.5 and 5 metres. It is possible to work with digital, analog, thermal and twilight cameras.
The devices have already passed flight tests, as well as testing for firing at 10-inch FPV drones. Now the product is being prepared for certification.
In the future, the company plans to combine body kit and aircraft-type UAV software to hunt for reconnaissance drones such as the Zala, Orlan and SuperCam, as well as enemy attack UAVs.
